I started this website because I loved Orwell's characterization of DIckens, and no one had taken the domain name. Not much of a reason, is it?

Now that I've got it, I will use it to occasionally share thoughts, Dickens-related or otherwise, and to tout my freelance editing services. Editing is often seen as an "unnecessary detail," something that can be skipped or skimped on. I beg to disagree: if writing (like anything else) is worth doing, it is worth doing well, and that includes putting the final touches on it before presenting it to the world (or your boss, as the case may be).

By the way, that photo to the right came with the template. But I like it, so I'm leaving it there.

Just...because.
