I think and hope that this is the case for many teachers at all levels, but I find fall and the start of a new school year almost like having a second spring each year--a fresh start, energy, excitement. As the leaves are starting to come down, and the inexorable march (see what I did there?) toward the bleak Wisconsin winter continues, this second spring is doubly welcome. Especially since, unlike the real spring, it doesn't bring mosquitoes with it!
